Unexpected connections.

The chapter begins with the moon illuminating the dimly lit room, enveloping Ash and Jenny in a haze of intoxication. The smell of alcohol hangs heavy in the air, serving as a reminder of their pleasures. A vintage rebellious atmosphere is created in the room by colourful paintings, band posters, and flickering fairy lights.
Ash exudes a wild beauty as her messy hair falls in loose waves around her face. Her party-weary eyes reflect a mixture of excitement and a hint of careless indulgence. She sports a variety of mismatched accessories, including colourful beaded bracelets and a variety of rings that jingle as she moves.

Jenny exudes a carefree charm despite her normally impeccable appearance being slightly undone. Her hair is tousled, with strands falling artistically across her forehead, and even though her outfit is a little sloppy, it still exudes effortless style.
"Jenny, I want to do something insane tonight, "Ash begins the conversation, her voice laced with excitement and a hint of mischievousness.

"No, we're not doing anything dumb," Jenny responded. "We have uni tomorrow and it's our first day Ash."

Jenny, I want to create a new planet and be the center of it. I want things to work out my way because I believe the universe revolves around me if that makes sense. This time, I'm not willing to hold back. Man, we grew up so quickly that we didn't recognize where the time flew, and I'm still in shock that I moved to a completely different country and will begin college tomorrow. I can't believe it and we're so high right now oh my god and bro can you believe we met online and chose to become roommates?

Man, I love it here. Hello? Oh well, you're sleeping, and I was talking to myself.

Jenny, hurry up, I don't want to be late.

Jenny replied with a nod of her head and said, "I'm ready to leave.".

So, even though we are doing the same course, we had different classrooms when we came for our first day. I'm excited to start class. I am astounded by the vista as soon as I get on campus and can't believe this is where I will spend the next four years of my life. I arrived because my first lesson was a global management class. For the balance of the semester, our class was separated into groups. My group consisted of four people, including this attractive man with amber-coloured eyes, round spectacles, and wavy hair. We had a group assignment about UAV drones and cameras and whose firm did the best at the end of the semester. Our group agreed to meet after class to discuss our strategies.

“I know this is too soon to say that I am bored or why is this class not ending?" (This is me talking to myself).

“I know right, he is continuously speaking, and he is funny, I give him that.” Says the cute guy with amber-coloured eyes.

"Hello, my name is Ashvi, but I go by Ash," I introduced myself. "Hello Ash, my name is Kevin, and I go by well, Kevin." And I couldn't take my gaze away from him, and I think he noticed.

Prof. said that we will continue this chapter next week.

"Nice tattoo; what does it represent?" Kevin inquired. It reads "great perhaps" instead of "I go to seek great perhaps," which means taking greater chances for an unknown future. It's from John Green's novel Looking for Alaska.

So she reads huh? Commented Kevin.

Ash, what risks have you taken so far? Asked Kevin.

Doesn’t every day feel like a risk to you? socializing with people you don’t know and coming to a new unknown country feels like a risk.

But you are socializing with me, isn’t that risky?

 Ummm you look okayish Kevin.

I look Okayish huh? How do you know, well I could be a murderer Ash or a drug dealer you never know.

Well then Mr. Murderer, I took a risk. So, do you have a class now? Or are you planning to sit here and waste your time for the rest of the day?

I am going to sit here and plan my next murder.

Sounds fun. Cool, see you in the next class.

I head over to see Jenny…

Oh my God, I had the worst class ever. Says Jenny

 "Why what happened?"

I slipped in front of the entire class before the class even started and I made a fool of myself by answering a question I thought I knew… How was your day?

It turned out to be a decent show. You know I wore different socks to class today. I found out in the class and now I am heading to the gym Hoping no one notices. Do you want to join me?

Nope, I don’t go to the gym. Not my thing you know.

Okay, I’ll see you in an hour.

I go to the gym and start with a warm-up. Then I plan to do deadlifts. I begin with 40kg, and after my first set Kevin says, "The risk-taker even works out".

“There is nothing I can’t do”.

“Can you do a pull-up?” He asked.

I can do anything except that.

‘Are you wearing two different colored socks?’

Are you staring at my feet?

"You know, Ash, I have a confession to make," Kevin said, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "I'm actually an undercover sock inspector. I go around campuses, making sure everyone's sock game is on point. And I must say, your mismatched socks are a delightful surprise."

Ash burst into laughter, caught off guard by Kevin's unexpected confession. She couldn't help but find his playful humor endearing.

"An undercover sock inspector? That's a new one," she chuckled. "Well, I'm glad my mismatched socks passed your inspection. I guess I'll have to step up my sock game next time."
