Beneath the Surface

Ash and Kevin's playful banter continued during their group meetings and class discussions. As they got to know each other better, Ash discovered that Kevin had a passion for photography and loved exploring new places.

‘How can you have two spoons of coffee with zero sugar? That’s straight-up psychotic behaviour,’ said Jenny.

Do you know what Psychotic behaviour is? you and your one-night stand or whatever, bro you guys were so loud that I couldn’t sleep and what psychotic role-playing are you guys into?

 ‘Ewwww, you heard that?’

"Umm hmm, every bit of it. Let's just say our rooms don't offer much soundproofing. At least we know that now."

‘I am sorry.’ I’ll buy you a coffee to make it up.’

Ash chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "One coffee won't cut it, Jenny. I think I'll need a week's supply to forgive you."

Jenny agreed a sly smile on her face. "Deal. But we shall never speak of this incident again, agreed?"

With a nod, Ash replied, "Agreed. Now, let's focus on the day ahead. What are your plans for today?"

Jenny sighed, "We have classes, and I have a 6-hour shift today. So, I'm pretty much tied up."

Oh, so you legit have no time today.

 ‘Yeah, why?’

Just wanted to know. Anyways, Let’s leave for the class.

I reached the class and there was an empty seat, so I went and sat there.

‘You’re drinking coke at 8 in the morning’?

 It’s black iced coffee.

‘Ewww, how can you drink black coffee? It has no flavour.’ Commented Kevin.

Listen, it’s tasty plus, they can never mess up black coffee. It's a failsafe option for a caffeine fix. It's the simple pleasures in life, you know?" ‘Ash, me, and some of my friends are going to a  bowling tournament. Do you wanna come?’

Oh my god, I love bowling. But I am going to the movies with my roommate so I can’t.

 ‘Oh, cool, it's fine.’

All the best for the tournament, though.

‘Thanks. Anyways, which movie are you guys planning to watch?’

She was praising ‘the dictator’ a lot. So, I am guessing that.

‘Ooo, dark comedy. I don’t think you’ll get it.’
